Welcome to Quietude, a private and tranquil space, surrounded by 70-acres of luscious woods and forests, open green valleys and bubbling streams.

Our retreats focus on identifying and dislodging habit-patterns, clearing the way for emotional, psychological, and spiritual expansion. It is a life changing experience. Because of the experiential methods utilized, all senses are activated. We go beyond just talking.

No clocks provide you unlimited time and the work flows organically because we tap into what is present. Insights surfacing from one activity determine and point to the direction, modality, and location for the next activity.

Your one-on-one retreat is facilitated by Yolanda Koumidou-Vlesmas, a licensed psychotherapist and international retreat organizer and leader for over 30 years. You will be welcomed by her warmth, trustworthiness, intuition and grounded presence.

One-, two-, or three-day retreats are offered from May – October.

The Power of Your Retreat

With no clocks and no forty-five minute restrictions, you have the luxury to go deeper, leaving with new skills to handle and overcome challenges.
One retreat can be equivalent to months of weekly therapy.

1 Day Retreat = 3 Months of Weekly Therapy

*Voice Dialogue: A consciousness tool that can help us to become aware of our many different sub- personalities or ‘selves’ and how to consciously choose from the strengths and limitations of these selves. This method is based on the theory of the Psychology of the Selves, created by Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone.

The Healing Power of Nature

Our work together is done outdoors.

We might be working on the front patio, in the forest, by the pond, waterfalls, or lake, in the middle of a valley or under a covered bridge. We might be working while sitting across from each other, walking, swimming, kayaking, or hiking, having meals, or walking the Spiral.

Spending time in nature has been scientifically proven to have measurable health benefits. It also opens vulnerability and enhances energy flow which eases the assimilation of new concepts.

The only two structures on the property are the barn and the custom-built earth-sheltered cave home, powered exclusively by solar energy and a natural well. Whenever the weather is not conducive to outdoor activity, we utilize the earth-sheltered home.
